Default engine smoke issue

Hello
I have an 2001 a6 2.7T with like 158k miles and I changed the water pump, timing belt, air filter, and the spark plugs plus some other basic tune-up stuff @ 155K. It runs fine and I don't hear any improper sounds under the hood. The problem is that when my car is cold in the morning and I would start it up for the warm-up a small amount of smoke would come for bout 2-3 mins (not continuosly). I took it to the shop where I got my tune-up done. He opened up the anti-freeze tank to check underneath and then he opened the 5V panel from the right side but didn't find any bad hoses and told me that its not a big deal. I am sure he's just lazy and dont wanna open the whole thing. So before I bendover in front of the dealer it would be nice if any of the tech guys around have a clue about it.

a little white smoke is normal on first start due to the cat because its cold and it should dissipate very quick when engine is warmer so not really an issue, if it were black or blue smoke it would be different and would require investigation but only if it smokes all the time

Default RE: engine smoke issue

hey dave thanks for the quick reply bro.
the white smoke comes everytime when the car is completly cold in the morning, then again it only happen for a minute or two when the temp. indicator starts to move from cold to the middle and I also smell antifreeze.
I have another question which is airbag related. A few weeks ago my hood release cable snapped off. I got a new one from the dealer and took it to the same shop he installed it properly but ever since then my airbag light keeps coming up.! I never had an accident. Do you think he forgot to connect the wires under the steering wheel properly?
