As for the answer to your question, what kinds of codes are you getting? Is it ECM related or TCM related?

The code I got was a tranny hear ratio problem which sounds like the ECM is not compatible with the tranny if I change it would I have a problem with the engine computer talking to the tranny computer

The gear ratio codes and display PRND - lead to limp mode events and transmission replacement. One might be lucky to find onother solution, hardly any data..

No I don't have the code number but like I said if I change the computer for the tranny should I have a problem with the engine computer coresponding with the tranny computer

Swap engines

Someone is selling me a audi a6 Quattro 1999 and I have audi a6 1998 Quattro..........he sayd that the motor of the 1999 is bad......now I ask can I swap the 1998 motor into the 1999. pls and thank you
