Error code 421
or you can drive around with an OBDII like I do
... One time the check engine light came on within 2-5miles of driving soft.... :P Def get this fixed as soon as you can but shouldn't harm the car in anyway other than a simple limp mode.

To check the check engine light whenever it comes on so you don't have to run to the dealer saying OMG OMG OMG!!! Just plug and play with the car key turned once (with the car off) and the OBDII will be able to read your codes. From that infromation you can either go back to the forums or what I like to do is just search the code for the car with possible problems (like jeffla did), call 2-3 performance places and the audi place. I have had work at all of them so they help over the phone quiet often with what is possible with the code. This gives you more figures in your head on what the problem could be from the worst to something small. Just a great tool for all cars if you like to work on them or just watch whats going on
cool, my plan of action is to replace all spark plugs (waiting on your DIY instructions) then go after the the O2 sensor located after the cat and before exaust on bank 1. Just to make sure, is the bank 1 on driver side or is it on the pessanger side.
Let me get to my home computer and try to find the web site I followed....
-Remove air box / intake (it is going to be hard to put the stock clips back on the intake... you might want to remove the mass air flow and clip it on your airbox. Then put the airbox into the car at an angle to the hose connecting to the Y-pipe) That is the hardest thing for the airbox I have found in the changing of it.
-Remove the right oil box with 4 screws. (you might have to forcefuly move the box to get under it) I found that the hardest part for this side.
This will give you the open space you need to remove the plates which are on the side of the engine. By removing the cap and screws you will be able to pull the plug and check it out. Let me get you the step by step instructions I followed. I will try and get that posted tonight for sure just hold tight my friend
Ohhh and I am not a tech at allllllll and easily did the job
Let me get back to you on the o2 sensors that was the only question I did ask my audi guy. Later

I knew the basics of the intake and took the rest from these instructions from a s4(same engine). Worked out great for me and hopefully for you aswell
... let me know if you have anymore questions
