Default Expereince with Autobahnd Invisible Bra?

I'm wondering if anyone out there has experience with Autobahnd Roadblock. This is a clear 3M product that is applied to areas of the car which are vulnerable to chips in the paint - hood, fender flares, head lamps, etc. I'm scheduled to have this applied to my Black 2006 A6 this coming Thursday.

It's pricey but since I'm in New England I feel it should help protect me from minor chips and scratches from abrasive road debris... salt, sand, etc... The front end of my Camry looks like it's been sandblasted after 225K miles!

Any thoughts appreciated...

Since it's pricey, save yourself some money by having it applied only on the metal surfaces (hood; corner of the fenders), and pass on the bumper application since it's just fiberglass/plastic - no risk of developing rust spots in time from chipping or clear coat damaging.

However, if you are an "aesthetic freak", you might as well go with the whole application.

good luck to you.
