I don't think anyone understands your question. If your talking about a 97-04 A6, the bumper dimensions are all the same so it would fit if thats what you're talking about.

 

if were on the same page, your asking if the 02-04 rear bumper with the dual exhaust cut outs will fit on the 98-04? yes they will i asked audi myself and the demesions are exactly the same.. i might do this too instead of cutting holes for the exhaust, this way it will look better.

 

I'm sorry I should have included more detail but this exactly answers my question. I was told the front bumpers won't fit without modification but I was curious if the rear bumper would fit...so I would then have the exhaust cutouts...
