I have had my aux ( drivers side ) radiator fan replaced with new, and now Im told my fan control module is bad. I purchased a new one, however I dont have a clue as to where its located. I have an 2000 A6 4.2, any help will be much appreciated.

 

Trace the wire from the fan to it - it plugs right into it. It might be in the same place as my 2.7t - under the driver's side bumper support column just outside the radiator area.
