Default Filling the tranny - drain plug/ fill plug???

I am going to drain my tranny and I see the drain plug. I also see a huge plug (with a huge hex socket head bolt).

As I cannot locate a fill plug on the side of the tranny, where do I fill it??
Thru this large hole?? Am I going to get 4 liters into this horizontal hole?

Thanks

Drain plug is the smaller allen head. The fill plug is the 17mm allen. You need a pump with a flexible tubing attachment.

Do yourself a big favor and read up on how to change the fluid it's not a typical fluid change if you jump in you'll be sorry. Also if you get a blau kit order 2 extra liters they do not send enough it should take about 6.3L.

Believe it or not, it is designed to be filled from the bottom. The fill port has a tube that goes up a bit into the transmission. This is to help prevent overfilling --- Any excess fluid drains right back out. Never really liked the design, but what can I say... I didn't build it!

Read -- and understand -- the instructions before doing this. The transmission needs to be up to temperature when the fill plug is reinstalled.

no kidding it'd designed so you don't over fill it. So well you can't fill it period.
