First Audi - Oil Temp Flicker?
Hi all
Bought my first Audi this week, a 98 A6 Avant 1.9 TDI. Very impressed with it overall but there are a couple of issues I hope some of you can help me with.
Firstly, the oil temp gauge usually sits around 80 degrees. However, now and then mainly when accelerating, the oil temp flickers back towards 60 degrees, then flicks back up? Any ideas?
There is also a chip mounted on the bulkhead in the engine bay that has written on it powered by Alpin. It has 3 small adjustment screws on it. Does anyone what make chip this is and also how best to get it set up. The car also has a slight jerkiness around 1000 rpm just resting on the accelerator (ie in slow traffic) is this usual?
Thanks very much in advance.
