Default Fix Audi A6 turn signal problem

I started having turn signal relay problem like many people here. After I studied the circuits (I am engineer) and replaced with a new relay on PCB, the problem is gone. If you know soldering, you can do it by yourself. The relay p.n is g8n-1. The part and shipping cost is about $12 from digikey. The new turn signal/hazard flasher unit is over $70 for p.n 4B0 941 509. I can fix this problem for you for $35(You need send me your turn signal/hazard flasher unit). free shipping plus 6 months warranty. Fair enough? It’s not worth to pay $70-80 for a whole new unit. Only turn signal relay part has limited life. shot me an email. wujpyh@yahoo.com

What about the turn signal stalk? Is it repairable. I have the irregular and or no blink problem with my 01 A4, but the hazzards work fine, so I would assume the relay in that unit is fine and it would be a problem in the stalk on the steering column. What are your thoughts?

most likely,it's still turn signal relay probelm. keep in mind. there are two relays. one for turn signal, other for hazard flasher. Since people use turn signals more often, that relay worn out earlier than hazard relay.

answer "Hxgaster" question.

If the unit is facing you, like it is on dash board. The left relay is for turn signal. Some older models still use mechanical relays.

I pulled the old one apart trying to see what was going on. I think mine was the mechanical type with actual coil and etc.
