Default Fluid changes

It's about time for changing my oil for my 99 A6 Quattro 2.8L. The car is automatic with the tiptronic. Any suggestions as to what type of oil to use?

Also, I need some power steering fluid. Any suggestions for that?

Thanks for the help!

are you just changing the engine oil? If so use a good quality regular motor oil or synthetic blend. I imagine that your car has over 100k since it is a 99. I would use 10-30 or 10-40 in it if it was me.

As for PS fluid, only use audi Pentosin fluid. Get it from the dealer or from ECS.

i ran my 99 a6 2.8 to over 188k before i sold it. Always ran mobile 1 15w50 performance oil. It is much better for the engine in my opinion. I ran it in new england winters and never had a problem. Whatever you pick stick with synthetic, it doesnt break down like conventional!
