sorry to bring up again ,,but tried it and didn't work ,,as soon as key turned on headlight came on ?,,did it just like the pic's in the search ,,,,searched again and someone else shows only going in to one side of slot 36 for the fogs ,,would someone give me the proper way to do this for an 01 A6

Word of caution - be careful mucking around with the fusebox, I found a hot socket that was marked ABS, but no fuse in it. (There was another socket marked ABS with a fuse.) So I tried it and ended up knocking my ABS unit out. It turned out to be okay but it wasn't a quick reset to get it going again.
