hey so i got a 96 a6 quattro with 185,000+mi, and when ever i drive there is noise coming from what seems like passenger side front end and light vibration in the steering wheel especially when i turn left, but when i turn right the noise kind of goes away, and lately i been kind of feeling slight vibration in the floor, is it my passenger axle that needs to be replaced or both of them along with other parts? and also whenever i start my car there seems to be some kind of noise coming from underneath the car from the transmission area sounds kind of like a loose chain rattling, any opinions on that also?

 

Could be a bearing, could be an axle, could be the control arms. Take it to a shop and have them inspect it.

The rattle noise is probably a loose heat shield.
