OK, simple questions, hoping for a quick answer (anyone still awake at this hour). I've been searching around and aparently wasting a bunch of time trying to figure out how to remove the speedo and tack needles from my 2000 a6 without breaking them off.

I found this on the vw forums that saidturn clockwise and pull, but again... Idon't really want to break the needles off. A confirmation would be nice.
