Getting chip big difference right away?
Im thinking of purchasing a performance chip for my 01 2.7T. I wanted to know how dramatic the chip will feel. The car goes from 250ish to 320ish...How big of a jump is that? Just curious to know what people think about the chip and how different does it feel from stock.

Your kidding right? You havent read one of the "I got chipped today!!!" post before? Yes 70 hp is a HUGE gain and it makes a HUGE difference. Make sure you atleast upgrade your DV's first, it didnt take much time and my stock ones were torn to peices. I would suggest doing them before hand even.

It's a noticeable increase in power above 3000-3500 rpm. It gets to redline almost too quickly in first and second but from third on it accelerates hard. You can feel the g-force push you back in the seat.
Realistically, most chips take you from 250 to 318-320hp. That's a 28% increase. Just beef up your diverter valves and throttle body boot first as advised above. Stick with a good synthetic oil and change it regularly (6-8k or when car tells you to,whichever comes first) and let the oil warm up before hard acceleration and let it cool down for a few miles after hard use.
Be aware you could prematurely wear out your clutch with the extra hp. I don't accelerate hard, but it didn't take many miles before I had to beef mine up.

I got the test trail today (which lasts 5 hours) and the car is a monster. I couldn't believe how fast it boosted when I went from 20-60....I was in a state of shock. Its like night and day. I think purchasing a chip might be the best $600 perfomance wise someone can get on their Audi.
Another question, so the chip gets the car at about 320hp...What else could I purchase to get the car at about 350horses? And how much would it run me?

Do a search on the forum for discussions about upgrading 2.8l. Since it is a non-turbo engine, performance gains are minimal unless you get radical (like a $5-8k supercharger). For that kind of money, you're better off looking for a decent 2.7T.
From what I recall, the ECU and exhaust changes are quite expensive for minimal hp gain. Nothing compared to $600 for a chip + 70 hp on a 2.7T.
Good luck. And just enjoy the luxury ride that you have.
