Default GIAC tiptornic chip

got a question about the GIAC tiptronic chip. considering getting it for my 2001 A6AR. my questions are...

does it affect the longevity of the tranny? is there any added jerking when shifting or any other related quality problems? does the chip work in downshifting also? any other info would be much appreciated too (resources, articles, related threads, etc.)

thanks

You can ad it but it complete depends on how you drive your car, if you drive it with the tip to much it will blow the tranny not because of the power just the hard driving on the tranny. I have a chip and I had tranny problems before the chip but no more after.

I have herd of several people like mac that have used the tip chip to add longevity to the trans while adding some more sporty shifting
