Audi A6 The mid-sized Audi A6 model offers more room to the driver and passengers over the A4 line.

Has anyone done this?

Default Has anyone done this?

I would like to remove the DBW throttle body and install a TB that has a TPS and is actuated by a cable.

Yes I do understand that this will include some ECU mods.

What would the draw backs be if any?

other than a pain in the ***?

You might get much sharper throttle response, but there is a new thing called sprint booster which is supposed to do the same thing. I haven't tried, it, or even heard reviews... but I haven't looked so many its a starting place for research.

Why? The resultant gain will be modest, at best. Why not put your time, energy and money into something that will give you a real difference, like K04s? Or nitrous? Or an RS-6?

Why is when your trying to get across the road and you press the go pedel and the answer or response you get is well ok let me (the car) decide how fast you really want to go. I don't like a computer telling me the (driver) how the power should come on.

I didn't like it on my 2005 Yamaha R6 and I don't like it now on my A6.

K04's are nice but, unless you have a better idea on how to install them. I'm not looking to pull the engine.

RS-6 would be nice but, I am not rich, or single.

So is there a conversion out there?

I'm sorry to say it but I don't think you have the right car if you want a ride that the driver is in control off. Pretty much anything modern from germany is more machine/computer than driver.

That said, I haven't seen any conversions for the 2.7. I'm pretty sure some people have done it with the a4 so you might look there, but I'm not positive of the success of these conversions.
