70 deg lucky sod its freezing here but that's normal for the UK if not freezing its raining, if the CEL goes of then that's not a problem occasional misfires cause this but a soft code should be stored for you to check it out

Mine will come about once every month or two and thengo off the next day (or after 5-8 starts). I have a vag-com and it gives me a code related to the MAF sensor but it normally comes on when the engine is cold. I took it too the dealer for this while it was still under warranty and they said that it might just be a loose connection to the harness on the MAF. I haven't really investigated it more recently. I seem to get the same code every time so I don't worry about it much. Can't recall the code number right now.

However, you should get your code checked to see if it might be something different.

I have a O2 sensor heater malfunction that will clear itself. For the record, I have a 2001 2.7T allroad.
The code 0135, also does not lock it. I just went to get the car inspected and DMV did not get the code.
The next day the CEL was back on,
It is now off.
