Low beam out in HID, high beam works front driver side. Audi dealership said most likely the igniter goes before bulb. Any experience out there?Have good/honest mechanic, doesn't have diagnosticto check it. Bulb's $ 100. igniter $400 plus. Ouch... figures.. design the expensive part to go first.... a multi meter should be enough to test the system, I only have data on how to take it apart

 

You could swap the bulbs and igniters from side to side

 

Just swap the ignitors. Then youll know for sure. My moneys on a bad ignitor. For the most part if the light doesnt work its the ignitor and if it flickers its the bulb.

 

Thanks for the advice so far. Since its New Years I have to wait till tomorrow. But the bulb does flicker when I turn the switch.Thx.

I just got my 200 Audi A6 quattro back from the body shop and I have a Head lamp igniter if you need one and if it will work on your car.
