HEADLIGHT OUT HID!

Has anyone had to fix a bad ballast?? I think mine is out, and I don't want to spend the money for OEM exact when I can get these??
http://www.hidplanet.com/ballasts.html is there a problem with going with these or do you have another sugesstion..?? I want to make sure what ever I get fits in the same area of the OEM style one? Or do I just find a new mount for these??
Confused.

Are you positive the ballast is bad? Check to see if power is running to the bulb first.
Those ballasts should work, they are OEM phillips DR2, same connectors as the Audi and the igniotors are built in.
Check the bulb first though. Depending on how old your bulbs are you may want to replace the stock 4300K bulb with a 6000K. The number refers to color tempurature, your bulbs change to a higher color temp over time, the 6000K bulb was developed for replacing one bulb, so that the color will match your old bulb.

Yup, no cars ever came with anything more than 4300K from the factory, pure white light.
Phillips (OEM manufacturer) was first to develope the 6000K utiliton bulb which was ment as a factory replacement, for cars with front end damage to one headlight.
Since HID kits became popular, aftermarket manufacturers have added color to the glass of the bulb to get all types of colors, 5000K, 6000K, 8000K, and even 9000K which looks pink. All of these bulbs are accually 4300K with a color to the glass which makes their output slightly less.

yea sounds like a bulb...
by the way hidplanet is a good community/ business... they will not jerk you around... I am also a member on that forum
You definaltely need to swap bulbs and make sure that its not just the bulb that is bad, normally ballasts dont go bad, and you should have the hella gen 3 ballasts...which are one of the most perferred ballasts....
