headlight swap question

Has anyone replaced their headlights with non-xenons but used the old xenon ballasts and bulbs? I want to try this but am unsure it can be done. Thanks!

need projectors too... some people don't mind hid in halogen projectors, but I do

plus the halogen projectors are smaller
