Ok...so I had my car at a shop for the timing belt changed and I was there when they were taking the lights off. When he pulled the passenger side one he said oops and I think broke a connector. So now, just the HID part of the light does not work. Everything else works fine in it.

Any ideas as to what it might be? The bulb, or the ballast?

 

Don't matter, its his fault so he needs to fix it.

 

Usually when the light doesnt work at all it is the balast. It is easy to verify this by swapping the ballast from side to side. I would be suspicious of his oops thou. He may have damage a wire or something.

 

Well everything else in the light works...just not the HID part. So could the ballast still be the suspect?

The ballast or (igniter), try swapping the bulb or ballast from the left to right side and see if it does it on the other side as well. I would just swap the bulbs from side to side which is easiest. The bulbs hardly ever go bad.

 

Can you just purchase the ballast (igniter) by itself? If so, where could I find one? I did not see them on ECS tuning or I missed them.

 

You can get them from thedealer which is mucho expensive or just buy them from Cccccchina!
www.vvme.com the cheapest bulbs and ballast probably in the world, and they work pretty good too! Not factory of course so you might as well buy both if you wanna go that route cause they are SO cheap!

OMG 12.99 per ballast shoot might as well get 4 heh. You are right that site is very cheap. Even the bulbs are just 19.99 per pair for all temps.

 

One more thing...the ballast is interchangable? I will not have to splice anything or will I?
