when I turn my headlights on.. a beep sounds for 30 seconds to a minute ... it's rather annoying. I dont see any lights out? thanks Dwight

Do you mean it beeps for a minute while you drive and turn the headlights on?
No, I never had that hapenning.
However, it beeps for close to a minute if I reached my destination, turned off the engine and opened the door while the lights are still on - so forgot to turn them off.

Maybe the car thinks your door is open. Do your door switches operate correctly?

 

Do you get the 'light is out' light? Or just the Beep?

 

my car does the same, except worse. It would have the beep when i started it.(almost like those electric seatbelts have that tone when you start a car and the seatbelts are locking in place almost like a warning) Well then it started every minute while driving, siting, anytime the key was turned on it BEEPED. I don't know what it was or why it stopped all I know is I sent it ti Audi and 3 weeks later had a repair bill ror $11,500 for a 2000 audi a6 quattro 4.2 8 cyl
