Headlights
Agreed...go with the stock 4300k. They put those bulbs in for a reason. The higher you go in Kelvin (K) which is the color spectrum -- yellow, white, sunlight, blue, purple etc, you actually lose light output (lumens) The 4300K bulbs have a higher Lumen output than 6000K and higher. Dont let the color fool you into thinking it is brighter. It is a trick on the eyes. I have PIAA for the fogs and they are very bright. Way better than the stock fogs. My brights are also PIAA. This is the best setup for these cars for light output that I have experienced so far.
we have a sponsor on our forums...send the rep a msg and he can hook you up with a low beam kit for $199.98 shipped. and if you want HID fogs, get anotherkit for another $199.98. They are true xenons and are good start if you want an HID upgraded.
I would hesitate to put HID in the fog lights. I thought it was a good idea until I saw a friends AUDI with them. The projector lamps are too small for the light output and the beam is diffused quite a bit. It looks totally washed out, instead of nice tight beams. Maybe it was just the kit he used but to me it looked washed. Talk to that rep, maybe he has some different ideas.
i put in 6000K HID's in my eclipse, cops never stopped me. i leveled them about the same as stock height and i have dual projectors in that car, so i dont blind people. i dont think they'd bother an audi drive for HID's
if you have the money go with a HID kit. my brother put PIAA bulbs in his 05 dodge ram, and they did absolutely NOTHING! He just got a 4300K HID kit put in, and wow are they bright. definately go with a HID kit, NOT just bulbs.
