Default Hellllppp!! brake light

Can somebody please help me I have a 2001 A6 2.8quattro with 60100k and my brake light indicator light came on in my dash. Everytime I press the brake's a high pitch warning buzzer also sounds with it which is extremly annoyying. Imagine a loud buzzer coming on everytime you press your brake's.

anyways I checked
my brake light's and all 3 of them light up perfect. Also I checked my fuses and they are ok also.

any sugesstions???

Check your brake pads. The pads are "wired" to make up a warning circuit when the pads are worn low. I would guess that you are right at the edge for wear. Check you fluid level also.

Hmmm. I'd be guessing on what else it could be. You would probably be best to have it scanned. Then you'd know the best direction to go.
