Check the slack on your timing belt, 75% of the time when you get any kind of cam position fault its because the timing belt jumped a tooth or isn't tensioned correctly. Another cause is not doing the timing belt job correctly.

hello!
i had a look at it to day. i removed the cover on the left side and i could twist the belt arround 90". therewas some slack on your timing belt so thatcan be the problem.strange...
the car have only run 23000kmafter it was changed last time..

I would suspect crappy workmanship, take it back to the shop that did the timing belt. I would imaging they didn't replace the tensioners or didn't torque them correctly.

it was done before i bought the car allmoust a year a go... i will fix it my self,so i know the job will be done right! mabye i can torque it right my self and se if it will do the job. if not i will buy a complete set and change it.

do you know what kind of sensor that is on the other side of the camshaft? i unfastened itand i saw oil on it. was a little tap in the middle..

im not sure what that sensor is for, it may be for the chain, but if i were you i will leave that in place first, and rule out what seem to be causing the prob now. i had a code p1340, afterdoing the timing job myself without the specific tools, went off timing,i got the tools did the job all over and p1338 puped up, i changed my cam sensor but have not checked again if the code is gone.if you have to do this job your self make sure you have the tools (cam lock bar and crank lock bolt)the former is crucial for an easier andjob well done, other wise you may encounter some difficulties

ok,yesterday i was going to change the timeblt, but the problem was the tensioner and a loos bolt on the weel that tutches the tensioner(dont know the name). i changed the tensioner and tightened the bolt.
the tensioner was not changed at the timebelt change last time. ******* workchop!!

well.. the car runs great now. to bad that i spent all that money om tools and parts for nothing.. at least i got the parts for the 360000 km change :-)

i will scan the car again to day and see if the camsensor error is gone.

tnx again for all the help!!:-)
