HELP!!!! Check Engine Light????
i have only had my car for a little over 4 months, or 4000 miles and i took it to get an oil change right after i bought it. time was comming close again so i went in for a routine oil change. all day and first part of the next, everything was ok. the latter part of the day the CHECK ENGINE light came on (regular driving). i took it back and they said they checked to make sure everything was connected back together and turned the check engine light off. exactly 1 1/2 day later it pops back on!!!!!
any suggestions???????????

RE: HELP!!!! Check Engine Light????
Have you had someone hook up the on-board computer to a diagnostic machine (usually free)? They should be able to tell you EXACTLY why it's on...
This happened on my 2001 A6 2.7T two weeks after I bought it... turned out to be a bad coolent temperature sensor that's used during startup to determine the air/gas mixture to optimize feul economy... i immediately thought to myself... who cares? Oh well... if your car was recently bought, it's probably a just a bad sensor (there are a lot of them)...
