Help!! Code 16501 Engine Coolant Temp Sensor
Please can anyone offer any advice or experience with the following problem?
Firstly my car is a 2001 Audi A6 2.4 v6 Auto with the AML Engine and FNW gear box.
The engine warning light has appeared and on further investigation with a Digital Auto Scanner the code displayed is as follows:
16501 - 035 KWP1281
Engine Coolant Temp Sensor (G62): Signal too Low:P0117
static no indication.
To date I have changed the coolant Temperature Sensor with a new genuine audi part.
Also I have had the throttle body removed and cleaned thoroughly as the idle was a little off and I read somewhere that this may be a cause of the above error code.
I have flushed the coolant system and replaced coolant with new.
Cleaning the throttle body seems to have improved the idle issue but the engine warning light persists with the above code.
Once cleared the 16501 code returns usually within one driving cycle.
Any help or advice or experience of this issue would be appreciated.

Problem fixed!! Yipee!!
Ok Problem is now resolved..
There was a mixup with my local garage. There are two temp sensors on my car.
One is at the rear of the engine underneath the air hose. The other is at the front of the engine connected to the lower radiator hose.
The garage changed the one connected to the radiator hose, when I thought they had changed the one at the rear of the engine!!
Moral of the story, be very specific with your instructions and don't assume!!
The sensor at the rear was gunked up with coolant fluid as the o ring had failed.
A good clean up of the connector and a new sensor....Problem sorted!! Phew! That's another problem solved, hopefully the last for a while...
