Help with CV Joint Part Number
I ordered the incorrect CV joint for the car. There is a difference between manual and automatic.
I needed the front outer CV Joint for the an S6 manual. I got the automatic part.
Any ideas where I can get the part from and whether the same outer CV joint from a 2.7 manual would fit?
I've tried ecs and blauparts, but without much success.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, most aftermarket retailers will try to tell you or sell you cv axles and say they will fit various models, which is incorrect. Go to http://www.raxles.com/ and speak to them they will get you the correct cv axle. I have a 2000 Audi A6 2.7t and I replaced my pass side cv axle. They were very helpfull.

Try www.vagcat.com which has a catalog for the European Audi. Also try going to an Audi dealer's parts department to get the correct part number.
