Has this ever happened to anyone? The dome lights in my car won't turn off. Everything was fine yesterday, but today they wouldn't work right. If you tap on them, they'll shut off, but if you hit a bump, they'll come back on.

Does this sound like a short? Or perhaps a little glitch that VAG-COM should be able to take care of?

This is on a 2005, btw.

 

sounds like a short somewhere. Weird that they go off when you tap on them. I would suspect a "switch" problem but I've never tried to mess with any of that. If it gets too annoying, just pull the fuse until you can get it sorted.

 

If you can pull the cover off the switch check the connections. Maybe one is loose and thats why they are acting strange.
