Default Help with Key Fob Problem

I bought a 2002 audi a6. It only came with one key. However, it was deteriorating. So i decided to get a blank key from EBay. I thought that if I move the pcb and the key blade from old to new, it would work. During the process, i broke the pcb while prying. So I hit Ebay once again looking for a key with pcb included. It also has the same code as my old one which is D0 837 231 P. When I received the key, the new key's pcd does not look like my old one's. I tried to program it but the keyless features would not work. I contacted the seller asking if he has one with the same pod as mine. Sadly, he said no. He said that I should try to program it again because the code is still the same?

Is my only option now is to go to a dealer and paid 250 dollars for a new key? or just follow the seller's order and try to reprogram the key regardless of the pcb?

Thank you in advance

Thank you in advance

This seems to be key fob week. It may be worth trying to program the keyfob to your car (it involves some gymnastics with the drive dook lock) or just bite the bullet and buy a key from the dealer that they program to the car for you as part of the price. Cheap is not always best.
