My release simply wont pop the hood. I used it about 2 hours ago to bleed the powersteering (which is working great now btw) but when I went back out to double check the level, the hood will no longer pop. Ive been playing with it for about a half hour jiggling the hood while it was pulled ect and it wont open. The release definitely has the normal resistance and i clearly hear the latch moving under the hood but it wont open. Its there like a safety release or a way to access it from underneath?

Thanks inadavance, Im almost afraid to drive it right now just incase something goes wrong while Im out.

 

Mine did that once.. I simply grabbed some needle nose pliers and pulled the release tab inside the grill.

Once you open it, spray the latch with some carb cleaner then silicone lube and work it a few times.

 

I thought about doing that but I was afraid it needed to be raised first and I would end end up damaging it. Ill go give it a shot (GENTLY)

 

If you hear it 'pop' when pulling the release handle, it should work.

 

Nothing was popping when pulling the release, I just heard the creaking of the latch. I just got it open, I couldnt get the needlenose on it because, the tab was flat against the hood, so I used a flat head to pry it down a bit and as soon as I did it opened like normal. I sprayed everything with graphite and tested it a dozen times and its working well now. Thanks alot.
