Hey everyone, Ill be out of town for a few weeks, going down to florida and I want to disconnect my battery. The only problem is I dont have my radio code. I have disconnected it once when I got a new battery and replaced it. I thought it would for sure need the code and when I replaced it it turned on and it was fine. I had called Audi and they said they would need the car, VIN and have to call Germany for it. So I replaced it anyway. My Saab in Florida needs the code as soon as I disconnect the battery (its an 89!) and I was surprised when the Audi didnt need it. So what Im asking is, is there a certain time limit on when the car would need the code? Or would it not need it at all? Help!

 

I have had my batt diconnected for 1 min and had to re-enter the code, I have also had my batt disconnected for 2hrs and not needed it

 

Pretty sure you have to go through audi, my car didn't come with the fing code
