Hey guys need your opinion on something. I've had my A6 4.2 for a couple of weeks, it's run perfectly until a couple of days ago. It's developed a hesitation, stumble like it's missing when accelerating from a stop and I can feel it again at around 2K. I've put a can of seafoam in the tank (it's about 1/2 empty now) thinking it was bad gas, it has improved somewhat where it's intermittant now. I want to run a half can through the intake next but where is a good location to use?

I'm pretty new to A6's I had a Audi 4000 and 5000S years ago but those were totally different.

I fixed my turn signals yesterday as my new hazard switch came in. My wife was amazed at how fast I changed it. Easiest repair I've done in years (my last car was a 1990 Corvette).

 

I filled the tank with premium and the idle is greatly improved but the missing is still there, after more reading, I see I should pull the codes. Where is a good place to pick up a vag-com? I take it that's the only way to pull codes right?

Pulled the codes and saw misfire on 1, 3 and 5, just replaced coils and plugs and now she's running perfect!
