NEW MOD FOR 2.8 30 VALVE

VAST got back to me and you can buy the 10mm intake spacers for RS4 to RS4 and they match up perfect. They still say you should get 10-15 hp out of them and some more mid-range torque!Im ordering a set this week because at $160, there isnt much else out there to choose from. Should be great!!!

after about a week, i can say the car feels much more responsive to the throttle, and my gas mileage is better. i'll check my mileage when i fill up tomorrow.

so in the tranny sports mode, does the car stop shifting into second gear automatically even after red-lining? Would it also benefit changing both the tranny code (to 00032) and the engine code (to think it's an a4), or is only one of them enough?

I haven't done it yet, but recoding the engine has nothing to do with the alarm system or the windows. Even if you haven't recoded anything at all, there is a security system in almost all cars, when you unlock the car but don't open any of the doors or the trunk, after a couple of minutes, the doors will lock back by themselves. Try unlocking the car, then open one of the doors, and see what happens. The car shouldn't lock back on it's own. Also try changing the codes back to what they originally were, and the exact same thing would happen. I'm not sure about the alarm going off by it self though.

By the way, how does recoding the engine feel, is it more responsive?

So are you saying that even if you open any of the doors, the car still locks on its own? If it only locks back on it's own when you don't open any of the doors, and that only happens with the recoding, then I'd say keep it recoded because that's the way the car should be. If not see if recoding the engine changes the code #s for the central locks. I believe the stock code is 15885 for cars with audi symphony, but don't take my word on this number because I'm not really sure.
