Anyone in Denver done this yet? Anybody? I would love to do this mod if any was has in the area.

 

Here's a tutorial i wrote up for doing this on a Vista machine. Overall, it worked really well! I haven't driven it around much to determine better mpg or not, but changing the engine code certainly helped it accelerate a lot faster, woo! The remote window up/down is just cool.

I recoded mine to think it's an a4, and so far I haven't noticed any difference at all. Actually I felt that it got a little less power on the highway, but I'll try it out for a few more weeks and see what happens.

 

do you think the remote window thing would work on my A4??
obviously its already an A4 lol so thats all i want to do.
its a 99.5 A4 2.8q by the way...

Ok, please, someone give me some quick advise. I found out a friend had vag com so we are going to recode my 01 A6 2.8Q this week. To make it run better, I do the 00032 tranny code which makes it shift sportier and hold gear in tip mode, and change the engine from a 2 to a 1, is this all correct? Also, I am kind of confused about the window roll up codes... what exactly does it change?

I am new to Audi. Just purchased a 2000 A6 Quattro with 2.8.

It seems to lag a little shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, and I was thinking this mod would help.

I am wondering if I can do this with the Vag5053 handheld programmer/scan tool I just purchased. And if so how do I do it. I just recieved in the mail and have not had alot of time to mess with it. Thanks

 

This mod nor the tranny mod will help with the 1st to 2nd gear shift the way you want it to. The tranny holds 1st longer than what I would consider normal, but this is normal for the tip tranny when cold. It holds 1st to help warm up the tranny and cats I would imagine. I guess I really don't know why it does it except they all do. Mine did get better after I did the first tranny fluid change but slowly reverted back. It will get far worse when it gets cold (minnesota cold).

 

i got the speedtunningusa flash on my ecu , and i recode 1 for a4, and 12 for transmision (sport mode). runs good so far. i would say if you want speed tq and acceleration is a good set up , the miles are better on highway(25-27) than city(around 20) , when accelerate takes a lot of gas, but moves a sedan quattro like a sport car.
the code for remote ...is one code in that list that open/close windows with remote, activate self lock after pass 10 m/h speed, open all 4 doors with one touch.
