Hi to all you A6 guys and gals...
Hi everyone...this is my second post but this time its here in the A6 section....Man this is a great place to be...If you missed my first post from last night I mentioned that my wife, kids and I are going to pick up our "new to us" 98 A6 Quattro..Tomorrow afternoon..MAN WE CAN'T WAIT !!! Its silver with a grey interior...I keep looking at pictures of it that are online from the dealership,oh and everyone elses here...This thing is almost perfect and drives great...I had no idea...My wife and I have had a few others like a couple of 5000s and our last one from back when we were first married was a CS 5000 Turbo Quattro...man that car was fun to own...Anyway,our 98 is still at the dealership but all I want to do is dream about upgrades...and please feel free to comment on these things...your the experts here....and I have a lot to learn...So lay it on me....
I'm thinking about...
Wheels and tires
Air intake systems
Exhaust
Tint
Chip? or reprogram? real clueless on this...
Oh and theres maintance and stuff...Not to bad as I build and restore cars as a hobby....
Oh well enough rambling...I look forward to everyones input what ever it may be....I want to see it all...

First tip:
Follow the link in my signature to my registry page. Once there, click on "Stoney's Links." Read what's there. BEST place for an A6 owner to start the learning process.

Congrats, use it in good health!
Upgrades:
On a silver car - definitely smoke (black) tint
this shape A6 will need at least 17 inch wheels, maybe even 18's.
filters/exhausts/chips, and etc, Southboro's the man for that advice, snoop around the forum - you will find many suggestions depending on how much money you have to throw at it.
once again, enjoy

I heard that the Air intake/Air induction kits mess up you mass air flow sensors. I was going to get one for around $250 but was told it would just mess stuff up. If you find otherwise let me know.
