my horn refuses to work when the car is cold. apparently the car thinks its a little too early in the morning for road rage. the horn works after the car warms up. any thoughts?

 

sticky contact in the steering wheel is my guess, just too cold to work. My old 9000 did that, but if I beat it enough when cold it would work. But with that pos car you pretty much had to beat everything to make it work. Ahh, Saabs.

 

My thoughts!

If you need to signal with the horn before things warm up you could always open the window and yell, "Beep Beep!"

The horn might be very polite and dosen't want to wake people up in the AM.

Would you want to work if it was really cold?


Maybe the contact ring in the stearing wheel is grimey and needs a bit of cleaning!
