Anyone know where i can find a guide with photos chronicling how to do that?

audi diy ... its really easy just open oil cap then take oil plug out then take filter off then put filter on then put plug bake in n then fill with i believe close to 7 qts of oil n ur done

 

the problem is that i am new to this whole thing and i need a picture of what the underbelly looks like so i know where to start. I am new to doing this thing.

 

well do u think that your capable of doing this? ... if you have never changed oil b4 then you should probably just pay the extra 10 bucks it would cost to have ur indy mechanic change it... i dont mean to be rude

Hope this helps... this is a pic of the underside of my 01 A6 2.8 (sans the skid plate). IMO the hardest thing is removing the skid plate. Other than that its pretty simple. You can clearly see the filter and plug.

If you need that much help to change the oil, I would strongly advise you just to go to a professional and shell out the $50 and10 minutesfor them to do it... It's by far the easiest thing to do on a car, other than fill the gas tank. But you can definetly screw it up if you are completly dumbfounded by the bottom of the car.

 

once you get under there and look it'll be really easy.

yea make sure u take the oil cap off in the engine bay first tho lol ... i recommend getting a filter wrench
