Hi guys , would you mind helping me out , i would like to sell my 98 a6 2.8 what should i ask for it in your opinions ? thanks a lot

98 A6 121k miles
$5200 on maintainence in the last 2 years

 

I paid 9k exactly one year ago for a 2000 114k, same engine and transmission as you. Had all service done including timing belt at dealer with records. So I would say I would have been willing to pay 6-7k for yours, it has an older radio, is two years older and a few more miles.

Look on cars.com and see what they are selling for as I have no idea.

i paid 8500 for my 1999 2.8 with about 92k miles just to give you another price if it helps

 

It also depends on where you are in the country, here on the west coast audi's are a lot more un-common compared to BMW's and Mercedes so the price is a little higher, i would say $10,000.
Over in lets say in Maryland it would go for around $7,000 because they are a lot more common.

just curious too.... I have a 98 2.8 with 156k miles (:}) and eibach springs, 19" wheels, custom exhaust, 35% tints all around (quattro, and 2 x 10" woofers in the back, i eventually want to trade up to a 2.7t 6mt. how much do you think i should ask for the car? thanks
