HP2 front brake calipers?
I just recently read a thread saying that the 01-02 Audi A6 2.7T models have these, what are they though? Do the Hp2 brakes cause that slight "kick" when deaccelarating (when I hit about 3mph I get that kick). I sure hope it's a common thing with the 01 A6's (due to the fact that my car does do a slight "jerk" when hitting about 3mph).
Thanks for clearing things up.

HP2 refers to the calipers andare on the pre-facelift A6's. That is the MY 00 and 01. These calipers are bigger than the one used on MY 02 and 03. They have four pads percaliper instead on just two like the 02's and 03's. And no your brakes are not the cause of the slight "kick" when decelerating.I am assuming your car is a tip transmissioncar though.Thekick is just from the transmission downshifting while decelerating.
It's just the way the transmission works. It is anticipating that you are going to get back on the gas, so it is downshifting to be in the right gear rather than waiting until you actually get back on the gas. I noticed it a lot when I first got the car but I hardly notice it anymore.
