HVAC blower motor - removed for cleaning, have question
I removed the blower motor from behind the glove box yesterday to clean it out and hope that stops the noise I've been getting but I have a question.
When you look into the access hole on the motor there is a green blob on the motor...actually looks like a squished/melted skittle. Is that supposed to be on the coil or can I remove that? (may be a dumb question but I know nothing about it).

I can't answer your question but I'm wondering how long/difficult was it to get at the motor? My fan squeals at low speeds and for two years I've been thinking about pulling and lubing it. I just did not want to start something that was too difficult or could lead to other problems.

Very easy actually. Five bolts holding the glove box, 1 electrical connector, and 3 screws holding the motor in place. I would've had it all done yesterday but I did not have any electrical parts cleaner.
