Got my 2004 A6 S-Line dark grey with black interior 3 days ago, it is an absolute blast to drive, especially at night. I have so much respect for this car, a total comfort, and always ready to charge ahead. I still haven't had the chance to hit a red light with another fast car next to me yet, but I have that to look forward to. When it really kicked in though is when I took this double uphill S curve approaching my neighborhood that had always been fun to hit the gas on in my 00' maxima SE which I could hit at about 30, 35 mph in. Took the S-line at 45 the whole way through, I love quattro! enough said.

 

Yeah I just got my 2004 A6 s-line last Monday and I love it also. Going to post some pictures later. Got a very rare color... dark maroon...almost looks black. Took it to the beach this weekend and kicked in the trip trans when passing cars on a two way street. 60 speed limit on the road and guy was going about 55 so I dropped it into 3rd and it took off then hit 4th looked at the speedo and I was already at 85mph. Passed this guy like he was on a moped. lol That was with the A.C. blasting.. This is the first car I ahve every had with auto trans and I love it. I live in the D.C. area and always had sticks (last car 03 GTI). I love not shifting every 2 seconds in traffic. My GTI was a little more fun in corners and has about the same power but the room and lavish surrounding are well worth it. Not to mention the chicks dig it. Do you think you are going to chip it for more power? I am still thinking about it though not sure.

Sweet ride, I'll have to get pics of mine up soon, Yeah I love our rims too. I'm not sure if I'm going to chip it yet, already has pretty damn good pickup with the 265 hp, but its amazing how much the chip adds to it I've heard. A little worried about voiding the warranty, so I think I'll wait for a while if I even end up doing it. I really want to get some light tints, just deciding how much I want to pay for them. Well off to pick up one of my buddies for a drive Cheers

 

Does it matter what transmission you have when you chip it? Everyone seems to have stick. I am kind of in the same boat as far as throwing a chip in or not. I am on the fence. If anyone has a GAIC chip in a 2.7T is there a lot of difference?

 

u dont have to have stick to chip your car, you can chip cars with tip and theres def a big difference i havent chipped yet b/c of warranty
