Several here in Michigan. Look at the Detroit Craig's list. Probably not as nice looking but more reasonably priced.

when I bought my a6 I had it shipped from NY. Was about 700$ or so to have it picked up and brought to Denver. The reason I shipped it is because audis are WAY overpriced in colorado. Everyone thinks the quattro is worth more than it really is.

When I was looking for mine I checked craigslist, Yahoo auto, Auto trader etc... I looked for each one for about a month within 300 miles I probably looked at 10 supposed to be perfect A6's and walked away.

1) look for a single owner vehicle for sale by owner

2) look for service records

10K would be fime for a car that is absolutely 100 percent, but you would be the only person on this planet to find one.

I paid 6K for a 2002 A6 Avant 117K and put $3800 in parts into it. Forget talking about the labor $$$$$

I paid $6800 for a 2000 A8 with full records and put $1700 parts into it.

I do all of my own work but if you can't I would suggest a CPO or New.

He's interested in the one I have listed as well, we're just having some logistical issues.

I'm in Ohio, he's in CO, so I offered to fly him out on my frequent flyer miles and then apply the cost of a ticket towards the purchase price. This helps me cover the gap in the loan pay off.

That aside though, I've never sold a car out of state. What do we need to do in order to get him tags to drive home? Are there any taxes we need to worry about (silly question but I'd rather ask then get slammed)? What's the fastest way to get the title cleared for him?

Sell USed car guide ... how to

http://www.carbuyingtips.com/sellused.htm

If you do sell the car at a high enough price to pay off your loan, then you just call the lender for a payoff figure and send in the payment. They mail you the title in about a week. Then you sign over the title to the buyer and you FedEx it to the buyer. You can give the buyer your car without title for now, and they can get a temporary white paper tag until your title comes in. Then the buyer can register the car with using the title. Auto loan lenders will not send the title to the buyer, they will only send it to you.

Hmmmm. Thank you. So if I'm reading that right, I'd take care of satisfying the lien while he takes care of getting a temporary tag until I can get the title to him.

Simple enough.

Bill of Sale is needed to get the Temp Tag as of no title yet for the registration. Best is visit the website of CO's RMV & see what they say, or is it possible to get a OH temp tag. I doubt it if the buyer is NOT living in OH.
