Hey everyone. I really want to buy this A6 but Im worried about the mileage and since its already on racing rims Its probably been abused. its a 2003 with 106k

I was thinking of offering him 10K ONLY if he would first replace the timing belt, timing idel pully, tensioners, and the water pump (is there anything else that I'm forgetting?)
What do you guys think? How well do A6s hold up after 100k? Hows the price?

Do you have the option of having a 'pre-sale inspection' performed by an independent mechanic(...preferably an Audi specialist)? If so, it may be well worth and extra $100(inspection fee) to know what you're buying if you're that serious about it.

Run away from that car!!!
It has been lowered. The grill has been painted. The steering wheel has been replaced. The rear spoiler was added. It has a **** added to the center console (looks like a power outlet in the last picture). The wiring loom insulator on the passenger side rear door is loose from the door (sign of repair or screwing around in that area). The spare should be a full sized spare. No heated seats.
Nice looking car but not good for Colorado. Way over-priced as well. Keep looking.

This is the standard steering wheel on 2003-04. (sport package features were incorporated).
The **** on the center console is the selector for the mirrors - standard.
The spare is small due to the fact that the rims were replaced - a 5th rim for the spare?
No heated seats? I seriously doubt it!
As with any customized thing - one run on many issues non-described and hard to deal with..
The car is a way overpriced!!!

That **** in the center console is control for L/R outside mirrors. The label vanished b/c the black is gone revealing the white base. Same as both Temp Up/Down control buttons.
My only button looks like that to white base, is the fan speed "-minus" button.
If the car is lowered and with wheels like that, maybe the ECU is MODDED.

Not so unusual, even for a Colorado car. Many US Audi dealerships order "Hot Country"(w/o heated seats, door locks, and washer jets) cars, especially in the South. Colorado's climate is rather diverse and the vehicle could have been brought in from any of the Southwestern states.
My `99 Avant is a Hot Country car that was originally delivered in Florida and eventually brought up to the Northeast. It has almost every option, except heated seats.
