Well its been a month since my 2000 2.7t 6M was totaled. I figured I may as well use this opportunity to upgrade. I have been looking for the exact same car 02-04. I am willing to travel 1000 miles to pick it up like I did for my last one. One problem there is absolutely nothing for sale with lower miles.

Note - I will only be getting a midsized car with a 6M and at least 250 ponies so please no other recomendations.

I have been toying with the idea of getting an 03-05 infiniti G35 with a 6 speed. It looks like a really nice car and there are far more available. Tell me I'm crazy for thinking about switching from from my A6 to a G35!

 

It would be helpful if there is a hint on your budget, or your location (1000 miles radius ?)

Well given those years I figured an assumption could be made $15,000. In essance there is no budget for the right car though.

Besides giving out a budget is like financial suicide. If your seller finds out then the car's price magically goes up to your max budget amount.

 

Not bad of a car if you get the Coupe, otherwise the 4-door sedan is an ugly duckling...!
Do you need 4-door, and legroom for the passengers in the back?
I would probably look for an 06 A6 3.2...

 

I drove the G37 as a loaner. It was fast, but it lacked any refinement. The interior was cheap looking and the car was loud. I say skip it.

I would rather go with an Acura TL - 270 ponies, though... Infiniti Gs are just overpriced Altimas . Same is valid for Ms - Maximas.

 

It will be hard going from the interior of an Audi to a G series. The G series is basically a powertrain and thats is. Everything else is cheap, might as well get a WRX

That VQ V6 is rough, and sounds awfull from inside. They do sound bad *** driving by though...
The interior is cheap too. And I question the long term reliability for Nissan.
The TL isnt a bad idea with a 6m, but it is FWD...
I like the Volvo S60R, 300hp, AWD, 6-speed. The gentlemens evo. Im 18, that would be my choice behind a 2.7T A6 6m.
If you dont mind the FWD however, I would have to put the 95 aero in this, but before it got ugly-fied in 06 or 07. With the excelent turbo 2.3 motor, 250hp, 5m...

 

If you are coming from an A6 I would look into the 06 infiniti m35x. I am looking to sell my A6 and I am looking at the M35 as well as the magnum r/t and the Altima SE-R
