Default Informant Issues

Hi all, After leaving my sunroof open and exposing my console area to six hours of moderate rain my radio, manual shift ability and some of the other controls have ceased to function .The radio will work intermitantly.BTW the trans.range indicator on the center of the instrament panel is lit up in a solid red hue. Warranty is gone so what is the problem and what's this going to cost. Thanks

Do a search of some of my posts and you will find alot of the info you are looking for. you need to pull up the carpet on both front floorboards and get your interior control module (drivers side front floor under carpet) and the trans control module (passenger side front floor) they are in black plastic boxes and you need to get them drained and dried out the sooner you do this the better the chances of being able to save them. The radio is more than likely a problem in and of itself but again getting it dried out quickly is the key.

start with these things and if you have other issues feel free to contact me as depending on how much water you had get inside there can be issues with the wiring harness. I have rebuilt two flood cars and have learned lots along the way lol.
