Interior door trim removal?

Default Interior door trim removal?

I have an earlier post about removing the passenger door panel on a 1995 A6, I am sure I have to remove the interior door trim. But to no avail. I really don't wanna screw up the trim, can anyone help guide me in the right direction?

Note:

Insulation

â—†Attached to trim by retaining ring -item[/ul][/ul]











â—†Ensure that only undamaged dampers are fitted [/ul][/ul]

Clamping washer
Bolt - 1.2 Nm

â—†Qty. 2 [/ul]
Trim cover

â—†Attached to trim by clamping washer Door handle holder [/ul]
Door handle

â—†Removing and installing finger plate top section â—†Removing and installing finger plate bottom section Hexagon socket screw - 2.5 Nm [/ul][/ul]










Hexagon socket screw - 2.5 Nm
Switch cover

â—†For electric window lifters, electric seat adjuster and safety switch for electric window lifters. [/ul]
Trim

â—†Number and position of retaining hooks => Fig.20[/size]21
â—†Remove trim upward
â—†Before fitting, fit door handle seals [/ul]
Inside door control

â—†Undo screw for inside door control [/ul][/ul]











â—†Press in direction of travel
â—†Remove from door trim
â—†Detach Bowden cable Door locking mechanism locator [/ul]
Lock ****

â—†Not necessary to remove in order to remove trim
â—†To remove, rotate approx. 1/2 turn (180o) anticlockwise and detach
â—†To fit, slot into place and rotate approx. 1/2 turn (180o) clockwise
â—†Installation positionAdjusting clip [/ul]

â—†Adjusting[/ul][/ul]

‒Lever off clip -2-.
‒Detach Bowden cable. [/ul]

1 -Seal [/ul]









→ Fig.3Lock **** fitting location

â—†When fitted, the locating cam must point towards the door window.
â—†Dimension a = 14 mm, button locked. [/ul]










→ Fig.4Front door trim height adjustment

‒Adjust height parallel to window slot strip on outside -1-.
‒Set trim flush to dash panel.
‒Correct height as necessary using adjusting screw -2-. [/ul]

3 -Door subframe [/ul]
Removing and installing finger plate top section










‒→ Position flat screwdriver in hole on underside of finger plate.
‒Push back lugs at both holes -arrow- and lever off cover. [/ul]
Note:
Lever off cover from front towards rear.

Removing and installing finger plate bottom section










‒→ Unscrew 3 cross-head screws -2- from finger plate bottom section -1- (2.5 Nm). [/ul]

3 -Finger plate top section [/ul]
Note:

â—†Old armrests can still be fitted to the new door trims.
â—†New finger plates cannot be fitted to the old door trims. [/ul]
Removing and installing front door trim impact absorber










‒Remove front door trim ‒→ Open 2 clips -4- using Seeger circlip pliers -6- and lift off.
‒Detach impact absorber -2- from door trim -1-.
‒Clean adhesive residues from bonding surface on door trim.
‒Detach adhesive protection strip and affix impact absorber.
‒Slot clips -4- onto locating pin -3- using 10 mm socket wrench. [/ul]











‒→ Press on the two retaining lugs of the clip -2- with a screwdriver -1- to bond the impact absorber -3-. [/ul]

It looks like the door pannel on my 96 and 97 Audi.
