Audis are just that much of a beast, the sound is orgasmic in the 2.7t imo

 

While I have enjoyed the sidebar about the girls, I don't think the 3.2 has a fan that runs on after it has been turned off. I believe that the continuation fan is only on the turbo engines. However, the3.2 has a couple of TSBs that may address the issue. TSB 19-06-06 discusses a noisy coolant pump and RVU 20-7-5 discusses the need to replace a fuel filter because of popping, thumping, knocking and similar noises shortly after the engine is turned off. I am guessing that the prior owner/dealer did not do theRVU. When you get the dealer to upgrade the MMI to version 44.1, get them to do the RVU as well.

 

My car is a 2.8, not turbo'd and it still makes that noise lol.
