Default Leave home head light setting in MMI

Anyone know what a leave home headlight setting in the MMI is for. Its just on or off, my salesman didnt know either. There is a coming home headlight adjustment which is pretty self explainatory, its a headlight shut off time delay after shutting off the car, but why would you want the headlight on when you enter the car?

My garage is MAD dark so having the Q7's lights on helps illuminate it.

So you are saying that with the leaving home head light setting set to on, the headlight will go on as soon as you unlock the door with the fob when entering the car?

If you have the advanced key the headlights will illuminate as you approach the car. This works well when you are in a parking lot at night and are looking for your car. If you don't have the advanced key option I guess you could press the button on the key fob and get the same lights.

You have to push the unlock button on the fob and all the lights will turn on at light when you hit that button, make sure it turn on in the car setup menu.
