Default limp mode problem

Audi a6 1999 quattro seems to have went into limp mode. The prnd234 has tripped and ill have to take it to check for codes tomorow. But The car was just fine. I did take it to get a subwoofer installed in the trunk in which case they tapped into the hi output wires of the stock bose woofer. But car seemed fine. While playing the system battery was accidentally drained and after a jump it seems its stuck in limp mode. And ideas?

Got back the codes. P0705, and P1857, both electric issues with the transmission. Probably nicked a wire under the knee bolster or fried a fuse down there somewhere. Question is...where to look. and what fuses to test.

I'd start by getting your VAG-COM out and resetting the codes to see if they go away. Could be as simple as the controller got confused when you jumped the battery.
